Message Silicone isn't affected by oils. Lots of materials (rubber, latex, vinlyl, etc) will be broken
down by oil, but not pure silicone. Silicone is VERY molecularly stable and unless it's
manufactured as a blend of silicone + one of the above materials, it will pretty much never
rot.
Z1 even makes a complete line of silicone hoses, including oil cooler lines, power steering,
turbo oil lines, and PCV lines, all of which are in regular contact with oil. I have the PCV
lines and they're just like the day I installed them.
